Easy Come, Easy Go...

It’s crazy how time flies.
One minute you’re lousy with it, and the next, you’re scrambling to manage what little you’ve got left.
Time comes and goes just like that...
Pay too much attention to it, and it moves like pond water,
but blink, and you’ll miss a lifetime.
We try to spend it wisely, but time’s not something you really get to hold.
The best you can do is irrigate your present moments toward the future you’re trying to cultivate.
We never earned time...
It was given to us, a stipend, a subsidy of existence.
And the more you get of it,
the more it takes to feel insulated from its empty coffers.
We spend it like our balance bears the infinity sign,
still chasing that cheap, momentary high is as expensive as our last moments on earth.
Oh well, I guess it’s just like they say:
Easy Come, Easy go.
